Step 3: From Approved Energy Data to a Clear Reporting Handoff

The final client experience should be simple: review what was approved and receive a package that the organization can inspect and use in its own reporting process.

Short answer

After the required data and review gates pass, PDR Delta can prepare a structured handoff with approved periods, mapping information, evidence references, a manifest, and an integrity signature. It is designed to reduce manual rework while leaving the organization’s reporting and assurance decisions in its own process.

1. Delivery starts only from approved data

The handoff is not a shortcut around review. The relevant periods, readings, factors, and calculations must pass the configured checks. Pending provider drafts, incomplete coverage, or unresolved material issues keep the delivery gate closed.

2. One package explains what was delivered

A structured package can bring together the reporting rows, field mapping, source references, review state, period coverage, and manifest. That reduces the need to reconstruct the story from separate email threads and spreadsheets.

3. Workiva-ready means prepared, not automatically loaded

Workiva’s public Wdata documentation describes dataset import, organization, querying, sharing, and export capabilities. PDR Delta can prepare files and mapping information for an approved customer workflow. It does not promise universal automatic loading or a direct connection to every Workiva tenant. [1]

4. The client receives a clear outcome

The client does not need to operate the internal evidence model. They receive a reviewable result, understand which periods and inputs are included, and can pass the package into the organization’s own reporting, accounting, sustainability, or assurance process.

Frequently asked questions

What does the client receive at the end?

The client can receive a private report or structured handoff package based on approved inputs. The package can include period data, mapping information, evidence references, a manifest, and an integrity signature.

Is this a direct Workiva integration?

Not by default. A Workiva-ready package is prepared for the customer’s approved process. A direct Workiva API connection would require separate tenant configuration, authorization, and validation.

Why does the handoff include a manifest and signature?

They help the receiving team identify what the package contains, which mapping and package version were used, and whether the delivered files match the recorded export fingerprint.
